Support the network of existing agents in Latin America through daily correspondence, periodic visits, and conducting training. Identify, recruit and train new agents. Work with international team to solve problems and develop business plans and policies to deal with agent issues. Produce monthly and quarterly reports.
During international trips, participate with representatives on service calls to provide technical support and determine what the customer needs are and how Q-Lab products and services can meet the needs.
Develop a marketing plan, including long and short term goals for the region. Develop an annual marketing plan for each major market, including trade shows, print ads, seminars, etc. Develop an annual budget for regional sales and marketing.
Cooperate with the technical service team to provide representatives with technical support.
Manage and optimize inquiry response, follow-up and quotations. Assure reporting and follow-ups with/by agents or Q-Lab personnel.
Work with Corporate Marketing to develop brochures, ads, artwork, etc. Assist Marketing with scheduling and placement of ads, seminars, etc. Attend trade shows as needed to support agents.
Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of sales experience, preferable technical sales and managing and servicing key accounts.
Experience with representative agents and/or distributors is preferred.
Fluent in Spanish
Must have science affinity and understand the scientific method.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to deliver technical and scientific material.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or science from a four-year college or university.
This is an entry level programming position will use Microsoft Visual Studio (VB.NET, .NET Framework 2.0+), SQL Server, Crystal Reports and other development tools to build and maintain business software systems. This includes development with Back-Office (Supply Chain, Accounting & Order Entry), Front-Office (Sales, Service & Marketing) and Laboratory Information Systems software. The programmer will also utilize the Agile Software Development methodology to accomplish software development goals.
Major Responsibilities:
Use Visual Studio 2008 and the .NET Framework to develop applications and add-ons to business systems.
Use Microsoft SQL Server as the back-end for data storage. This includes writing stored procedures, views, queries and basic database administration.
Write reports using Crystal Reports.
Use Visual SourceSafe for source code control.
Support business systems by answering end users questions on product functionality and capabilities.
