Q-Lab Corporation is a global provider of material durability testing products. We design and manufacture Q-Panel Test Substrates for paints, as well as QUV weathering, testers Q-Sun light stability testers and Q-Fog corrosion testers.
Q-Lab Florida Weathering Introduction
Natural exposure testing is an essential part of any weathering and light stability test program. Q-Lab Weathering Research Service has outdoor exposure sites at internationally recognized benchmark locations in Florida and Arizona.
Q-Lab Florida is the southernmost test site in the USA. It has a subtropical climate with lots of sunlight, high temperatures and abundant moisture.
Moisture sensitive products like coatings and building materials, and some plastics are particularly affected. Florida is also an excellent site for testing mildew resistance.
Q-Lab Arizona Weathering Introduction
Natural exposure testing is an essential part of any weathering and light stability test program.
Q-Lab Arizona has an arid desert climate with more sunlight and higher temperatures than Florida. Typically, specimens in Arizona receive about 20% more sunlight than Florida.
Q-Trac Natural Sunlight Concentrator
The Q-Trac uses a series of 10 mirrors (a fresnel concentrator) to reflect and concentrate direct, full spectrum, natural sunlight onto test specimens. Q-Trac maximizes the amount of UV sunlight weathering test specimens receive. Depending on the test starting time, you can get the equivalent of 3 years of Florida UV exposure in just 6 months. Degradation rates are material specific.
QUV Accelerated Weathering Tester
Introduction to the World's Most Widely Used Weathering Tester
The World's Most Widely Used Weathering Tester. The QUV is used in more labs throughout the world than any other accelerated weathering tester. In just a few days or weeks, the QUV can reproduce damage that may occur over months or even years outdoors. The QUV meets all major test specifications including ISO, ASTM, GB, DIN, JIS, BIS etc.
Q-Sun Xenon Test Chamber
Introduction to Xe-3 Xenon Weathering & Light Stability Tester
The Q-Sun Xenon Test Chamber reproduces the damaging wavelengths of light encountered either indoors or outdoors. Xenon lamps emit ultraviolet, visible and infrared light. Filtered xenon arc lamps are the best way to test products such as pigments, dyes and inks, which may be sensitive to the longer UV wavelengths and visible wavelengths of sunlight.
The Q-Sun is designed to be user friendly. It is easy to install, use and calibrate. Specimen mounting and evaluations are fast with the unique slide-out specimen tray that easily accommodates three-dimensional parts. Lamp replacement is safe, quick and easy to perform.
New! Q-Sun B02 Xenon Lightfastness Introduction
Designed specifically to meet ISO 105 B02, the new rotating rack Q-Sun Model B02 Tester uses the latest technology to provide precise control of the critical test parameters, including Spectrum, Irradiance, Relative Humidity, Chamber Temperature, and Black Standard Temperature.
The Q-Sun B02 Meets many test specifications, including:
ISO 105 B02
AATCC TM 16
AATCC 169, Options 2 & 3
Q-Panel Test Substrates
Three factors assure consistent quality at the lowest possible prices:
• Volume metal purchasing from selected mills.
• Automated production on a high-speed line.
• Rigorous inspection at several processing stages from raw material to finished product.
Due to their high volume production, our panels cost less than you might expect for such a standardized surface. Equally important, the convenience of clean, safe, standardized panels reduces the expensive time lab personnel spend cleaning and handling panels.
For maximum convenience, Q-Panel substrates are supplied pre-cleaned, with a 1/4" (6 mm) hole. For safety and ease of handling, the panels have rounded corners and deburred edges. In addition, the panels are specially packed to provide a shelf life of several years. Our inventory of over a million panels means that 95% of our orders are shipped from stock. In most cases panels can be used right out of the box.
Look for the Q-Shaped hole, it is our trademark and your assurance of quality.
