Q-Lab Receives Volkswagen Certification as an Approved Automotive Test Laboratory

Q-Lab, a global leader in material durability testing, is proud to announce that its Florida Accelerated Weathering facility has been officially approved by Volkswagen as a certified test laboratory for various automotive test methods. Volkswagen has long ranked among the world's leading automotive groups, making this recognition a significant milestone for Q-Lab and a recognition of the technical excellence of its Florida-based testing facility.

Volkswagen has certified Q-Lab for the following test standards:

• PV 1303 – Non-Metallic Materials Xenon Arc Light Aging of Vehicle Interior Parts
• PV 3930 – Weathering in Humid, Hot Climate (Exterior)
• PV 3959 – Hydrolysis Test on Components with Foam-Laminated Decorative Material in the Vehicle Interior
• PV 3964 – Coated Surfaces in the Vehicle Interior: Testing of Cream Resistance
• VW 50195 – Colorimetric Evaluation of Exterior Automotive Paint Finishes
• PV 1058 – Determination of the Micro-Crack Pattern on Chrome-Plated Surfaces
• PV 1210 – Body and Add-On Parts/Hang-On Parts: Corrosion Test

With this approval, Q-Lab becomes one of only seven Volkswagen-certified test laboratories in the United States, further strengthening its position as a trusted partner to the global automotive industry. In addition to outdoor and accelerated laboratory testing services in Florida, Q-Lab offers additional resources for automotive applications. Q-Lab Arizona Desert Testing is #1 in the world for automotive interior materials (AIM) box testing and can also provide whole-car exposures. The Q-SUN Xe-8 tester, released in 2025, is the new standard for large format rotating rack xenon arc testers, capable of performing all major automotive weathering test standards.
