FGIA Standards Development led by Q-Lab's Experts
The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) was established in 20202 by the merger of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA). FGIA committees consist of industry experts dedicated to establishing consensus-driven standards, testing protocols, and technical benchmarks for the building envelope. By providing both technical leadership and research experience, Q-Lab helps codify the procedures used in durability testing for research and certification within FGIA.
FGIA Committees
Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) committees are groups of industry professionals who develop consensus-based standards, test methods, and technical guidelines for windows, doors, skylights, and curtain walls. Their specifications AAMA 2603, 2604, and 2605 are critical qualification standards for increasing levels of coatings performance on aluminum substrates.
