The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the world's leading organization that prepares and publishes international standards for all electrical, electronic, and related technologies, known as "electrotechnology". This organization is closely related with ISO, the International Organization for Standardization. Our team supports standards development in IEC by writing test protocols for accelerated weathering and corrosion of electrotechnical product that codify and standardize testing worldwide.
IEC Committee
IEC TC 82 (Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems) develops the global technical standards required to transform solar radiation into electrical power. Since its inception in 1981, its work has ensured that PV cells, modules, and inverters meet strict reliability and safety criteria, supporting the growth of sustainable energy infrastructure worldwide. Important weathering durability standards in this TC include IEC 61215-2 and 62788-7-2.

IEC TC 104 is the primary technical committee responsible for standardizing how products are assessed against the physical environments they will encounter throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes the systematic classification of environmental conditions—such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and shock—that a product is likely to face during transportation, storage, installation, and active use. This committee manages the important 60068 series of Environmental Testing standards for weathering and corrosion, including IEC 60068-2-11, 60068-2-30, 60068-2-38, 60068-2-5, 60068-2-52, and 60068-2-78
