Entry Level Laborer/Machine Operator

Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking an Entry Level Laborer/Machine Operator to join our Machining & Fabrication department. The position requires a high attention to quality details and the use of industrial fabrication machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of production duties including, but not limited to: visual sorting, inspection, and packaging of fabricated products
• Learn and operate machinery including, but not limited to: tumblers, grinders, milling machines, drill presses, and miscellaneous hand tools
• Continuously and consistently inspect part quality
• Detect and report unusual or defective materials to the supervisor
• Operate pallet jacks to move material or products within the work area
• Sort, package, and/or crate parts for shipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of basic computer software
• Basic math skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction

Desired Skills:

• Ability to read and understand simple blueprints
• Organizational skills/Attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of a variety of measuring devices, micrometers, calipers, etc.
