We are currently looking for a Weathering Technician in our Wittmann, AZ location. This position is responsible for testing specimens for weathering in a live environment.

 

Duties include:

  • Mounting and exposing new tests
  • Rotate tests as scheduled
  • Complete monthly field rinses as scheduled
  • Turn on/off Q-TRAC and AIM Boxes as scheduled
  • Complete Freeze/Thaw process as scheduled
  • Practice good Housekeeping and keeping area clean and organized
  • Perform Receiving Process
  • Package and ship materials
  • Update contact information in carrier systems as required
  • Provide back-up and support in Evaluations Services
  • Assist in tracking solar radiation and radiation-based test schedules

  • Proficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic in our Wittmann, AZ location. This position is responsible for the overall Maintenance of the Facility including machinery, facilities and grounds.

Maintenance Mechanic duties include:

  • Understands, follows and enforces all established company safety, health, quality policies, procedures and recognized practices.
  • Focus on maintaining quality services by monitoring quality levels and adjust the service and repair process to ensure testing integrity.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain testing machines and the test facility’s equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of testing equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of testing equipment as needed.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of testing machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management
  • Order parts needed for special projects, routine maintenance requirements, spare parts, tools and equipment needed
  • Assist and train field and lab employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree (with at least 5 years of experience as a head mechanic, or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments and levels of the organization

Reporting to the Panel Production Supervisor, this position will be responsible for production and packaging of our standard and custom sheet metal paint test panels. The position requires a high attention to quality details and the use of industrial fabrication machinery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuous and consistent inspection of sheet metal part quality
  • Precisely count sheet metal parts before packaging
  • Ability to cross train and work any of the numerous areas within the department
