Q- Lab is looking for a Customer Oriented individual for our Customer Advocate position in Homestead, Florida. The primary responsibility is help both the customer and testing departments to facilitate testing. This includes gathering missing information and assisting customers with questions. In addition, this position supports the Office Supervisor and office staff. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review testing packages after receipt to ensure all necessary documentation is included to set up test
  • Contact customers for credit card numbers and purchase orders
  • Contact customers to obtain missing information and documents
  • Contact customers when tests are received and ongoing during testing
  • Field questions from customers on service issues, test status, and use of Q-Lab website
  • Explain our procedures and policies to customers as needed to help smooth the process
  • Record significant information in relevant locations: general client files and laboratory systems.
  • Work with customers and shipping department to ensure satisfactory shipping method, provide tracking information when requested
  • Pass all information to another department if a higher level of explanation is necessary
  • Assist with weekly invoice approvals
  • Create Accelerated Laboratory invoices
  • Facilitate request from remote locations
  • Answer telephone and clientā€™s emailed inquiries
  • Take active role in hurricane plan

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement new technology and methods to improve field test equipment performance and usability for operators
  • Create and maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Collaborate with corporate engineering resources through engineering projects
  • Work with maintenance staff to rapidly identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Document all machine mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs
  • Assist facilities department with sourcing facility equipment and installing equipment
  • Oversee the calibration of on-site measurement equipment, both with in-house methods and external submissions

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelorā€™s Degree (or experience equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

  • Proficient with 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc.)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our nimble, fast-paced, & effective team. At Q-Lab, Software Developers perform a wide range of duties. You will be involved in designing technical solutions and developing the software that meets those technical requirements.

We cross train our developers on all platforms, tools, languages, and systems. Our developers regularly comment on how exciting, fun, and challenging it is to be given such an unusually broad scope of work. Our ultimate goal is to apply technology in ways that increase revenue, decrease costs, and/or increase customer satisfaction.

**This position requires employee to be onsite a minimum of 3 days a week**

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produces software for Q-Labā€™s web, database, and client server business applications.
  • Uses Microsoft Visual Studio (Winforms, ASP.NET, VB .NET, C#) to develop front-end interfaces.
  • Uses Microsoft SQL Server to design, modify, and write business logic within databases.
  • Uses Crystal Reports and SSRS Reporting Services to develop reports.
  • Follows Q-Labā€™s standard development practices and techniques.
  • Works on front office (e.g. Sales, Repair, Marketing), back office (e.g. Accounting, Purchasing, Order Desk) and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) software.
  • Writes business requirements and technical specification documents.

Weathering Technician (Wittmann, Arizona)

We are currently looking for a Weathering Technician in our Wittmann, AZ location. This position is responsible for testing specimens for weathering in a live environment.

 

Duties include:

  • Mounting and exposing new tests
  • Rotate tests as scheduled
  • Complete monthly field rinses as scheduled
  • Turn on/off Q-TRAC and AIM Boxes as scheduled
  • Complete Freeze/Thaw process as scheduled
