Key Responsibilities for our Technical Sales Representatives

  • Pursue sales leads received from industry ads, trade shows, internet web inquiries and other sources
  • Engage in proactive outbound selling efforts via the telephone
  • Travel, when required, throughout the U.S. (and internationally, on occasion) to visit existing and new customers to educate, close sales, and build relationships
  • Must have the ability and desire to prospect for new customers, identify decision makers, and sell our products
  • Give technical presentations at seminars and symposiums.
  • Prepare quotations
  • Edit, manage, and maintain database of existing and potential customers (CRM system).
  • Meet established sales targets
  • Attend Trade Shows

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of industrial sales experience (preferably in capital equipment)
  • Engineering or Science related degree preferred
  • 10%-15% of overnight travel in US and possible occasional international travel
  • Aptitude to understand, differentiate, and effectively sell technical products

JOB SUMMARY

The Office Manager supervises office staff, provides status reports to senior management and ensures that all relevant systems are maintained and updated, as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide daily work schedules to staff
  • Investigate non-conformance events and initiate corrective actions
  • Maintain office supply stocks
  • Consult with customers, suppliers and local vendors as necessary
  • Provide a variety of status reports to management for review
  • Answer the telephone and direct calls, as necessary
  • Follow Quality System requirements and update associated documents as needed
  • Review and contribute to procedure development and updating
  • Proofread and approve test reports
  • Oversee Human Resource activities (i.e. maintain personnel files, fill vacancies, etc.)
  • Act as a backup for necessary office tasks (i.e. test check-in, shipping return paperwork generation, etc.)

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Mid-level computer knowledge
  • Microsoft Office experience, especially in Excel for graph generation
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

We are looking for a Site Manager who can combine a love of science with a mission of service for our outdoor testing facility located in Buckeye, Arizona about 25 miles west of Phoenix  

 

DESCRIPTION:

This person will have the title of Site Manager and will be the main technical resource for our testing location.  The Site Manager will advise our clients on testing methods, and will supervise staff on how to run these tests.  He/she will lead our Special Projects department, increasing the scope of its activities, and improving our ability to perform scientific investigations.  The Site Manager also assumes the role of quality manager and oversees our ISO 17025 quality system within the Arizona facility.

 

To be successful as a remote Site Manager, the candidate must be conscientious, dependable, and be committed to the delivery of the task.  Comfortable supervising other employees, the Site Manager must accept responsibility for the daily operations of the site, and look for ways to continually improve operations.

 

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, a real affinity for scientific items, and dedication to providing top-notch service.  This position also requires great communication skills, as they will be required to work closely with customers, staff, department supervisors, and senior management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of BS degree in a scientific or engineering field
  • 10 years experience in technical or engineering field
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with quality systems and laboratory procedures
