Key Responsibilities for our Technical Sales Representatives

  • Pursue sales leads received from industry ads, trade shows, internet web inquiries and other sources
  • Engage in proactive outbound selling efforts viathe telephone
  • Travel, when required, throughout the U.S. (and internationally, on occasion) to visit existing and new customers to educate, close sales, and build relationships

Technical Multimedia Developer (Westlake, Ohio)

The Technical Multimedia Developer will assist in creating and maintaining short instructional videos that demonstrate troubleshooting diagnostics for our products. This is team-based technical communication, not product advertising.

Job Responsibilities

·         Shoot video footage that demonstrates where product components are located and whether or not it is operational using a Canon XA25 camcorder

·         Able to set up proper lighting in an overhead fluorescent environment and product consistent, fluid camera movements

·         Photograph components for our web-based parts catalogue tool

·         Draw and animate diagrams that demonstrate operation of various product subsystems

·         Curate all created media, making sure it is organized and electronically back up

·         Occasionally shoot other video footage as needed for Marketing department

Job Requirements

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our nimble, fast-paced, & effective team. At Q-Lab, Software Developers

perform a wide range of duties. You will be involved in business analysis and requirements definition, software development, and project management. It’s common to lend your opinions to the CFO and VP of Marketing one day, only to be coding the solution

in SQL and .NET the following day.


We cross train our developers on all platforms, tools, languages, and systems. Our developers regularly comment on how exciting,

-          Uses Crystal Reports and SSRS Reporting Services to develop reports.

-          Uses Attolic (an Eclipse variant) and C to develop firmware.

-          Follows Q-Lab’s standard development practices and techniques.

-          Works on front office (e.g. Sales, Repair, Marketing), back office (e.g. Accounting, Purchasing, Order Desk) and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) software.

-          Writes business requirements and technical specification documents.

 The Assistant Managing Director - Operations will be a key member of small, dedicated team running our weathering test sites and laboratories at Q-Lab in Florida, Arizona, and Germany. Due to continued growth, this is a new position that will report to our Managing Director - Florida. We are looking for an outgoing, highly detailed and hands-on manager, engineer, scientist, or technically minded individual with superior customer service and selling skills. This role requires a significant amount of flexibility, business acumen and technical proficiency.  As the main administrator of Q-Lab’s procedures, operation functions, and strategies for supervisor training and development, you will be accountable for contributing to our team’s success.


Primary Responsibilities


    • Interact with technicians through VP-level customers on general business and technical issues
    • Review and analyze current business strategies business
    • Educate customers and prospects on their testing options and standards that we use
    • Interpret customer instructions into standard test input
    • Explain test reports and billing to customers
    • Monitor needs for lab, personnel, and field planning
    • Review current needs and create expansion plans
    • Create process control charts of daily activities using Excel
