Ron Roberts

Vice President of Sales, Testing Services


Ron Roberts graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. During the past 40-plus years, Ron has been involved in the weathering field in various roles including operations, sales, and management. 

Ron joined Q-Lab Corporation in August 1995 as the Site Manager for Q-Lab Weathering Research in Arizona, a division of Q-Lab Corporation. Ron developed a 30 acre weathering site for testing such products as paints, plastics, building materials, automotive, and textiles. 

In 1999, Ron relocated to Cleveland to become the U.S. Domestic Sales Manager. Three years later, he was promoted to International Sales Manager. While in this role he oversaw the international sales, and was directly responsible for Q-Lab’s representative network in China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. In January 2005, Ron established a representative office in Shanghai, China. 

In 2006, Ron was promoted to Director of Sales and in September of 2009 he was named the Vice President of Sales. In this role, Ron was responsible for worldwide sales of accelerated weathering and corrosion testers manufactured by Q-Lab as well as the weathering and corrosion services provided by the Weathering Research Division of Q-Lab Corporation. Ron directed a team of International Sales Managers, who in turn support a network of distributors in over 60 different countries, and directly oversees Q-Lab’s offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, and China. 

Ron has written and presented a number of technical papers and seminars throughout the world. Many of his technical papers have been published in International trade journals. He can often be found attending trade shows, presenting at seminars and conferences, and providing training worldwide.

Ron retired in December of 2024, remaining active with Q-Lab on a part-time basis as the Vice President of Sales, Testing Services. He is active in the promotion of our Testing Services in Florida, Arizona, and Germany accredited testing facilities. This new role has provided Ron with the opportunity to focus on his expertise of where his career began 40-plus years ago.
