The ideal candidate is able to perform routine tasks with a high degree of repeat-ability and precision, and a willingness to anticipate data and to confirm its accuracy.This position involves the preparation of specimens for evaluations (rinsing,washing, polishing, etc.) as well as performing the evaluations themselves,using instruments or visually assessing the test specimens.

We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to provide customer service and end user support for Q-Lab’s worldwide information network. Reporting to the Network Systems Manager, the successful candidate will troubleshoot, research, and resolve computer related problems.

 

You will be part of a team responsible for managing an international VPN data network with six locations around the world. We have approximately 225 internal users, 300 computers, and 40 servers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor Q-Lab’s server systems to keep availability high and performance consistent
  • Respond promptly to end user technical support requests. Resolve issues effectively and efficiently so that users can be as productive as possible.
  • Solve complex workstation / server problems quickly and with expertise. Share knowledge and help other IT staff, accepting escalations as necessary.
  • Is flexible and can sometimes work outside of normal business hours / on weekends to accomplish tasks that would be highly disruptive to operations, and to respond to emergencies.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Q-Lab systems to be the deputy for system/infrastructure administration and IT projects.
  • Identify issue patterns, determine root cause, and implement fixes to improve overall reliability.
  • Evaluate the end user experience to find areas of inefficiency and opportunity. Track and organize this information, and present ideas to the Network Systems Manager.

Maintenance Technician (Homestead, FL)

Q-Lab is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high level of mechanical aptitude, be a team player and have a can do attitude.

This position will be responsible for general building maintenance including plumbing and electrical installations. You will oversee troubleshooting, repair & maintenance of all company equipment and vehicles. Maintaining organization of stored equipment, parts and materials will be a high priority, as well. Finally, you will need to assist in the preparation of specimens for testing and with test rack construction, repairs and relocation within in the field.

What you will be doing:

Maintain AC Units, ice machine and plumbing, especially in the bathrooms and break room; troubleshoot and repair minor electrical defects; change ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and air filters; paint internal walls as required

·         Storage Organization

Monitor and maintain the contents of the warehouse, mootel and containers

·         Vehicles and Tools

Preventive maintenance and repairs of power and manual tools; limited servicing and general maintenance of company vehicles such as the fork lift, truck and golf carts; operate vehicles as required

·         Exposure Equipment

Daily checks of black boxes and ensure that fillers are in place

Assist in construction, modification, relocation and maintenance of exposure racks and sub-frames for outdoor lab as well as special projects.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role will report to the Facilities Manager and will perform preventative and scheduled maintenance to our equipment. Additionally this position will trouble shoot and repair equipment as needed.

What you will be doing:

·         Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and inspections.

·         Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/repairs of production support and facility equipment, i.e. Air Compressors, Forklifts, HVAC

Senior Technical and Business Development Engineer (China)

As the senior technical expert for Asia, assist Q-Lab in promoting weathering, lightfastness,and corrosion testing equipment and test services in Asia at key Distributors, customers, GB/ISO/ASTM standards groups, and in various technical forums.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support customers and the network of existing Distributors by answering in-depth technical questions about the products and test services through daily correspondence and periodic visits.
