Q-Lab is seeking an experienced, Senior Accountant looking to work in a team-oriented environment. This is a great opportunity to work for a growing global manufacturing company. This position is located in the corporate headquarters, which also serves as the company’s manufacturing center. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Key contributor to the month-end close process
  • Assist Controller in day-to-day global accounting functions
  • Maintain fixed asset system which includes book and tax depreciation
  • Assist in inventory reporting to senior management and G/L reconciliation to ERP system
  • Learn and assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Involved in financial analysis, weekly reporting and ad-hoc reporting for management
  • Responsible for aspects of foreign accounting in conjunction with customer service and production teams
  • Reconciliation of inter-company accounts and elimination journal entries for consolidation

Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 7-10 years of experience in accounting (manufacturing environment or public accounting preferred)

Desired Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to ERP and associated customized business tools
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred

As our new HR team member, your responsibilities will include:
  • Work with hiring managers to identify future hiring needs.

Materials Testing Lab Manager (Arizona)

Materials Testing Site Manager
 
With total oversight of a small team, this is a hands-on, multi-faceted management position of significant responsibility. Day-to-day, the Site Manager oversees all aspects of our AZ site including staffing, quality of service, equipment up-time, and profitability, while working closely with the Managing Director and other supervisors from the remote Florida office to ensure testing is accurate and timely. Longer term, the Site Manager participates in strategic planning for the facility, particularly in the development of new products/services, and growth of sales opportunities. Through proper planning, the Site Manager must ensure that the site maintains operation 7 days a week, through holidays, and that all tests start or are serviced in a reasonable amount of time. The role will often require wearing many hats and someone with a broad skill-set - even going so far as personally stepping into any role and performing necessary tasks to keep these critical tests going.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Local Quality System oversight
  • Capital equipment budgeting
  • Management of vendors and their services
  • Field layout and quality monitoring
  • Troubleshooting customer issues

About the Role:
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, this position will design and develop electrical components for our accelerated weather testers.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging in all phases of electrical subsystem design, printed circuit boards and sensors product development, including concept, design, documentation, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing
  • Own multiple engineering projects including new product developments, design improvements, and cost reductions
  • Design, build, and test prototypes to validate performance versus requirements
  • Plan and manage project requirements, technical risks, deliverables, and timelines
  • Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for safety, performance, reliability and manufacturability
  • Writing test instructions, test reports, and engineering change notices
  • Providing technical assistance to the purchasing, service, sales, marketing, and production departments

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics)
  • 5+ years proven record in a product development environment, with embedded microcontrollers, analog and digital circuit design
  • Strong project management experience with proven time management skills; ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Designing new electronics hardware with embedded microcontrollers
  • Designing and developing software to work with devices, sensors, and other Q-Lab test chamber peripherals
