We are looking for an exceptional mechanical engineer with 10+ years’ experience designing electro-mechanical products. The individual will design both new products and improvements to existing products (e.g. improve performance, reliability, manufacturability).

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a Masters preferred (other disciplines not considered)
• Highly proficient with 3D CAD (Inventor, Solidworks, etc.)
• Experience with design translation to manufacturing: print standards, dimensioning, tolerancing, measurement systems
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated skills in experimental methods and data-driven decision making
• Strong project management experience with proven time management skills; ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
• Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently with little supervision
• First-hand experience with fabrication methods (sheet metal forming, machining, injection molding, 3D printing, assembly)
• A thorough understanding of electro-mechanical components and systems, e.g. pneumatics, fans/blowers, VFD’s, transformers, relays, sensors, heaters, nozzles, solenoid valves, switches, pressure regulators, flow meters
• Customer-oriented team player with ability to interface with Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and IT
• Savvy communication and interpersonal skills required to positively lead and motivate others
Desired Skills and Capabilities (not required):
• Experience with control systems design, development, troubleshooting
• Experience with fluid dynamics, i.e. air and water flow
• LEAN/Six Sigma experience and/or certifications
• Experience using structured change control processes (quality management, engineering changes)
• Experience with product and project financial management (total cost out, NPV analysis)
